A group of researchers have developed a system that is worn on the wrist like a watch and sends and receives information through the human body.
According to Mehr news agency, quoted by New Atlas, researchers from Purdue University in the United States have built a prototype of a device that in the future will allow the user to pay online with just one touch, enter a password and send a photo.
Of course, this achievement is similar to other technologies that have been developed to transmit information with high security. In this technology, information is transmitted through the human body using low-power electromagnetic fields. In this case, it is more difficult for hackers to obtain information because they have a challenge to receive the signal.
An example developed by Purdue University researchers is a watch-like system that is worn on the wrist and sends and receives information using low-power electromagnetic field signals.Only when the user’s finger physically touches a receiver, communication will be possible to transfer information. In other words, the mentioned signals remain enclosed in the human body.
Shreyas Sen, an assistant professor at Purdue University, says about this: Imagine being able to enter the application on another person’s mobile phone with one touch. In this case, everything one touches becomes more powerful as digital information passes through it.
Of course, this device needs improvement, but its software can be configured to transmit certain pieces of information, such as credit card data for online payments or authentication information for entering a building.
